Remember:
- Verbs いく、くる、and かえる will always be preceded by the particles へ or に or から.
- Other Verbs such as: みる、かう、きく、たべる、のむ、する、よむ、はなす、and かくwill usually be preceded by the particles を、or で.
- When the subject is not stated, it will usually be わたし "I". The particle following this subject is usually は "wa" or が "ga".
Sample Sentences:
Present Positive sentence
わたしは にほんへ いきます。
Watashi-wa Nihon-e ikimasu.
I am going to Japan.
Present Negative sentence
わたしは にほんに きません。
Watashi-wa Nihon-ni kimasen
I am not coming to Japan
Past Present sentence
わたしが すしを たべました。
Watashi-wa sushi-wo tabemashita.
I ate sushi.
Past Negative sentence
わたしが べんきょうを しませんでした。
Watashit-wa benkyou-wo shimasendeshita.
I did not study.
